Job Details:

* Must be open to all shift times - specific shift requests cannot be accommodated
* Start times for CT are 6:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 5:45 PM
* 12-hour shifts with an expectation of 30-40+ scans per shift
* Self-schedule based on seniority; unit will work to keep clinicians on day variable, night variable, or graveyard - back-to-back night then day shifts will not occur
* High need for graveyard shift
* Variable schedule required including weekends, which may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
* Must be open to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Facility may call off once every two-week pay period (guaranteed hours policy)
* No on-call required
* No floating between units
* Patient ratio is 1:1
* Very high volume, fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work independently and efficiently
* May be asked to assist with own patient transport based on staffing needs
* Community hospital experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Equipment used: GE Lightspeed 64-slice scanner and Toshiba Aquilion 64-slice scanner
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Navy Blue

* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT, ARRT Advanced, CA CRT, CT
* Key skills include: CT abdomen, chest, pelvis, head, cervical, thoracic, lumbar, vascular CTA, musculoskeletal trauma, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, PACS, isolation precautions/PPE, and emergency department experience
* Serves adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 212 staffed beds and features a very busy CT department serving primarily emergency department patients along with some outpatient cases. The facility is a high-volume primary stroke receiving center with transport support available for the department. The department utilizes modern imaging equipment and operates at a fast pace, making it an excellent environment for experienced CT technologists seeking a dynamic and challenging setting.
