Job Details:

* Two years of nursing experience required
* Minimum Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
* Maintain current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
* BLS and NRP certifications required
* ACLS certification preferred
* Provide direct patient care and monitor patient response during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
* Assist and educate patients in breastfeeding as needed
* Promote wellness for mothers during pregnancy and after delivery through continuous education
* Provide education to mothers about infant care
* Document all events and education in patient medical records using computers
* Communicate patient conditions verbally and in writing to physicians and nursing supervisors
* Collaborate with nursery nurses in mother/baby couplet care
* Assist physicians with procedures
* Maintain clean, orderly, and safe environment for all patients in the Family Birthing Center
* Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently
* Position requires standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
* Specific vision abilities required including close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
