RN - L&D

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
* 3-4 weekend shifts on a 28-day schedule
* Self-scheduling available, with schedule balanced by Director and leaders based on experience and skill set
* Orientation offered on Mondays only
* 3-4 orientation shifts on the unit provided prior to being assigned patients
* Work in an 8 LDR, 2 Triage, 2 OR, and 2 PACU bed department
* High-risk patient population with a high diabetic patient base
* Staffing ratios follow AWHONN Standards: 1:1 for patients 6cm or greater dilated or on Magnesium/Insulin drips; 1:2 for all others
* Will perform external versions and second trimester cerclages on day shift only
* No inductions performed under 39 weeks
* RN will follow scheduled C-Section patients through entire care until sign off
* Charting system: Meditech (PCS for L&D; ORM for Surgical) and OBIX for fetal surveillance
* Medication administration via Pyxis; IV Pumps: Solaris; WOWs provided to each RN for charting
* Scrubs provided for travelers working in L&D
* Minimum 2 years of experience working in an L&D setting required
* Active California RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS issued through American Heart Association, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent
* Must complete Pyxis MedStation ES and BD Pyxis Med Link Queue modules
