Opportunity:

RN - TCU/Stepdown/PCU Float Pool

Job Details:

* Float pool position - not unit based
* 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36-hour work week consisting of three 12-hour shifts
* Shifts may rotate between AM and PM; all shifts within a 4-week schedule cycle will be either AM or PM
* Weekends required based on operational need
* Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Must be able to float to other facilities and units, including reassignment to different departments within a 75+ mile radius
* May be assigned to the ED for boarded patients and/or to assist with tasks
* May be assigned to the PACU for boarded patients
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Minimum 2.5 years of recent TCU/Stepdown/PCU experience required as a consistent home unit (float experience alone is not sufficient)
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Travel experience required; no first-time travelers accepted
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Charting system: Epic (preferred)
* Patient age groups: Adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* NIHSS certification preferred
* Experience caring for acute care patients recovering from procedures (e.g., biopsies) preferred
* Required certifications: CA RN license, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
