RN - Operating Room

Job Details:

* Work in an 18-room operating room department as a Scrub and/or Circulator RN
* Day shift includes Scrub and Circulator coverage for 18 rooms, Charge RN responsibilities, and Service Line Expert/Support roles
* Night shift includes trauma team Scrub and Circulator coverage with additional on-call teams
* Weekend and night shifts required to cover vacancies
* On-call required, approximately four 12-hour shifts per 8-week schedule
* Level 2 or greater trauma experience required - candidates without this will not be considered
* Experience across various surgical specialties required including orthopedics (general, total joint, and spine), neuro, general/GYN/urology (including DaVinci), vascular, and thoracic
* Expert spine and orthopedic skills preferred
* Typical procedures include spinal fusion, total joint replacements, orthopedic trauma, and DaVinci Robot procedures (prostatectomy, colectomy, gastric bypass, etc.)
* EMR system used is Meditech
* May float to OB OR as needed
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required certifications: BLS and certifications specific to role aligned with state and federal regulations (e.g., CST, license, etc.)
* Team player personality is the best fit for this role

Facility:

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center housing an 18-room operating room suite located on the first floor of the Pavilion I building. The OR department is staffed by a skilled mix of registered nurses and surgical technologists, supporting a wide range of complex surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, general surgery, gynecology, urology, vascular, and thoracic surgery. The facility is equipped with advanced surgical technology including the DaVinci robotic surgery system and utilizes Meditech as its electronic medical records platform.
