RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work on a 33-bed cardiac telemetry unit with a mixed patient population including post cardiac surgeries, thoracotomies with chest tubes, cardiac drips, atrial fibrillation, and medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
* Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on acuity
* Care technicians available with approximately 1:15 ratio to assist with patient care
* Titrate drips independently including all drips except pressors, paralytics, and TPA
* Manage patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen with respiratory therapy available in-house to assist and set rates
* Read telemetry strips once per shift and as needed with changes in rhythm with centralized telemetry monitoring support available
* Self-scheduling with adjustments made to maintain a balanced schedule
* Weekend requirement of 6 shifts per 6-week period
* Holiday requirements of 2 summer holidays and 3 winter holidays
* Floating to other floors may be required
* 1 to 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
* No on-call or standby requirements
* Scrub color required: Galaxy Blue
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
