Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 4 x 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 48 hours per week
* Shift times: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (days) or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (nights)
* Weekend rotation every other weekend, but may be variable based on need
* No mandatory on-call requirements
* Holiday rotation applies on a fair and equitable basis
* Schedule is made in 6-week increments and released 2 weeks prior to the schedule start
* Cannot guarantee a block schedule - will be utilized to fill in gaps in the schedule
* High acuity patient experience required including hypertension, magnesium administration, C-sections, preterm labor, vaginal deliveries, epidurals, inductions, antepartum, PROM, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage
* Must be able to triage OB patients, circulate in OR, perform cervical checks, and read/interpret fetal monitoring strips
* Must be able to serve as a second set of hands to receive and recover normal newborns as needed
* Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 active labor, 1:2 non-active laboring, 1:2-3 antepartum dependent on acuity
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Equipment used includes Alaris CareFusion IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Centricity/Qx fetal surveillance monitors, CAD Solaris epidural pumps, Panda Warmers, and Covidien SCDs
* Floating may occur within antepartum and postpartum units as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience required with previous travel experience; 5+ years preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate FHM (AWHONN)
* Scrubs are provided by the facility and are not to be worn outside of the facility

Facility:

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level IV NICU offering comprehensive obstetric and labor and delivery services. The unit features 34 labor and delivery beds including 15 labor rooms, 12 antepartum beds, 4 OB ED rooms, and 3 operating rooms, along with 18 postpartum beds. The facility supports up to 300 deliveries per month and provides 24/7 laborist coverage, respiratory therapy, and anesthesia services to support high-acuity patient care.
