Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Schedule is typically 7 days on, 7 days off with 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
* Maximum of one week requested time off if needed
* Shifts may change during contract to cover day shift or mid shift based on staffing needs
* Rotate regularly through the Main ED, ED Fast Track, and ED Observation Unit
* Assigned to various areas including Triage, Quick Registration, and Entry Screening
* May be assigned to a different area at minimum daily and may be rotated during shift depending on patient volume and unit needs
* Occasionally expected to float to other departments in which qualified to work, including taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties
* Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in the emergency department specialty required
* Required certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and conscious sedation certification

This medical center features a comprehensive Emergency Department consisting of an 11-bed Main ED, a 6-bed ED Fast Track, and a 7-bed ED Observation Unit. The facility relies heavily on contract nursing staff to support its staffing needs and maintains a dynamic environment where nurses are expected to rotate through multiple areas to meet patient volume and unit demands.
