Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Night shift position with shifts running primarily from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with some shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
* 36 to 48 hours guaranteed per week
* Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients or assigned patient groups according to established standards of care and the nursing process
* Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
* Coordinate care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment
* Collect and analyze assessment data to determine patient diagnosis and care issues
* Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
* Evaluate patient progress toward attaining outcomes and identify goals for patient situations
* Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver care in a safe and caring environment
* Provide health information and learning opportunities to patients, families, and team members
* Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
* Delegate and coordinate duties of healthcare team members appropriately
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the field required
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
* Acute care facility experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (from approved vendor per AH policy), AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS, AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required
