Job Details:

* 13-week assignment in the Operating Room
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Shift schedules vary by day:
- Monday through Friday: Multiple shift coverage from 6:30 AM to 7:00 AM the following day
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM trauma coverage with additional Saturday call team from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
* Rotate weekend call every four weeks with call utilized to fill evening and night staffing gaps Monday through Thursday
* Typical call shifts are 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours with no more than 60 combined hours of work and call scheduled per week
* Must have shift and call flexibility
* 3+ years of operating room experience required
* Trauma experience required
* CNOR certification preferred
* Burn experience preferred
* Robotic experience preferred
* Neuro experience preferred
* EMR system: Meditech
* Dress code: Per AORN standards
* Required certification: BLS
* Idaho RN license required at time of submission
* Perform a wide range of surgical procedures including burn, dental, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, neuro, open heart, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, psychiatry, robotics, trauma, and urology
* Ideal candidate is open and outgoing, forward thinking, a team player, and possesses excellent critical thinking skills

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive medical center housing 13 operating rooms staffed by 25 RNs and 29 CSTs. The operating room department handles a high volume of surgical cases averaging 50 hours of surgical time Monday through Friday, with trauma coverage available around the clock. The facility supports a wide spectrum of surgical specialties including burn, neuro, open heart, robotics, orthopedic trauma, and more, making it a dynamic and well-resourced environment for experienced OR nurses.
