Opportunity:
RN - Radiology
Job Details:
* 10-hour day shifts with variable start times of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM
* Ability to float to other facilities within the health system as needed
* May be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility at any time during assignment
* Provide nursing care for patients receiving imaging services including CT/MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology procedures
* Patient care responsibilities include IV support, procedure preparation, moderate sedation and monitoring, recovery, and patient instructions
* Administer and monitor conscious/moderate sedation
* Perform pacemaker interrogation and procedural sedation
* Work with patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Must be able to wear lead apron as needed and enter MRI environment as needed
* Charting system: Epic
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Radiology experience required
* Adult acute care experience required
* Experience in diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS
* Preferred experience: ICU, ED, PACU, or procedural area
* Preferred certifications: Radiology Imaging Nursing Certification, PALS
* Required skills include: administering conscious sedation, bar code medication administration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, medication management, pre/post procedure care, rapid response team, reversal agents, and starting and maintaining IVs
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
