Open Position: RN - CVOR

Job Details:

* Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, shift negotiable
* One weekday call shift required per week
* One weekend call shift per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) in rotation with staff
* Call response time of 30 minutes required; call room available on site if needed
* Float to General OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled
* May float within Zone 1 facilities in cases of extreme need
* Facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* One week of unit/department specific orientation required; must be in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote
* 16 operating suites including 3 CVOR suites with approximately 30 cases per day including 1-2 heart cases daily
* Common cases include open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic procedures
* Open heart experience and/or endovascular experience required
* Scrubbing required for RNs only to hold the heart and help close the chest
* Charting system: Epic
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA); ACLS preferred
* Hospital provided scrubs (light blue)
* Must reside within 60 miles of facility; valid driver's license must be submitted
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a robust cardiovascular operating room with 16 suites, including 3 dedicated CVOR suites. The department handles a high volume of complex cardiac and vascular cases, supported by a team of 8 OR technicians and experienced charge nurses. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and provides hospital-issued scrubs to clinical staff.
