Opportunity:

Neuro EXP Tele RN

Job Details:

* Every other weekend shifts required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* 48-hour shifts approved
* Float between units as needed to meet unit needs
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation
* Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation
* NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center
* Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include Neuroscience, Neurology, Neurosurgical, and Telemetry
* Neurology RN experience required with comfort using the NIH scale
* Must be proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
* Scrub color: Any color for RN
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation, housing 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it offers a robust interdisciplinary support system including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support. The facility features a designated stroke unit, a Spine Center of Excellence, and a NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center, all with JCAHO designations.
