Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

* Work day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM or 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday
* Call requirement includes a minimum of 1 weekday and 1 full weekend per month, with the possibility of more based on staffing needs
* 30-minute call response time required
* Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements apply
* Mandatory call/standby requirement in place
* 12 CVOR suites with approximately 20 cases per day
* Common cases include CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplant, robotics (thoracic and cardiac), peripheral vascular, thoracic, aortic repair, vascular access, hybrid procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR), Impella, IABP, and ECMO
* Minimum 3 years of CVOR circulating experience required
* Scrubbing is not required for RNs, but scrub experience is preferred
* OR techs are available on the unit
* No floating requirements
* Hospital provides scrubs
* Unit/department specific orientation provided
* Charting system: Epic
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* High acuity environment requiring highly skilled, experienced staff able to circulate in a fast-paced, complex setting
* Approximately 25 surgeons work regularly in the OR, so candidates must be able to apply general CVOR knowledge to work with any surgeon

Facility:

This nationally recognized cardiovascular and thoracic program operates a high-acuity surgical environment with 12 CVOR suites and provides 24/7 in-house coverage. The facility supports a wide range of complex cardiac and thoracic procedures and maintains a large team of approximately 25 surgeons, requiring staff who are highly experienced and adaptable in a fast-paced OR setting. The facility uses Epic as its electronic medical records system and provides hospital-issued scrubs to its staff.
