Opportunity:
Case Manager RN
Job Details:
* 5x8 day shift schedule with shift times varying between 7:00 AM?3:30 PM, 7:30 AM?4:00 PM, 8:00 AM?4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM?5:00 PM
* Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for one 8-hour shift per 2-week period
* Monday through Friday business hours required with weekends required to meet department needs
* Every other weekend or 4 weekend days within a 4-week schedule required
* No on-call required
* Float within case manager services to cover gaps as needed
* Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
* Only one time-off request of 5 days or less per 13-week assignment permitted
* Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
* Acute care hospital experience required; behavioral health experience does not apply
* Epic EMR experience required
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Parking is free
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient ratio: 30 patients per case manager during days
* Responsibilities include discharge planning, care coordination, continued stay reviews, determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines, pre-certification reviews, prior authorizations, needs assessments, and DME ordering
* Utilization of InterQual Criteria and Milliman Guidelines required
* Required certifications: BLS (preferred), ACM-RN (preferred), Alaska RN License (required)
* Microsoft Office/Teams experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred; LTAC experience preferred
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
