Opportunity:
LTAC ICU - NIGHT
Job Details:
* Night shift position in a Long-Term Acute Care ICU setting
* 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; standard schedule is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
* Weekends are supported by rotating call shared between 6 to 8 staff members
* On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call
* Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
* Staff will work across both the 12-bed ICU and the 35-bed Med-Surg unit
* Float requirement to Med-Surg unit at a 1:5 patient ratio
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
* Daily census of 35 patients
* Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, trach/PEG
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
* Neurology experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
* Scheduling type is block scheduling
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Required skills include arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, modes of ventilation, tracheostomy care, vent weaning, traumatic brain injury care, stroke scale assessment, and complex wound care, among others

This facility is a Long-Term Acute Care hospital offering both ICU and Medical-Surgical care within a comprehensive inpatient setting. The facility features a 12-bed ICU and a 35-bed Med-Surg unit, with staff working across both units to support patient care. Robust interdisciplinary support is available on-site, including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and unit secretary services, ensuring a well-rounded care environment for complex patient populations.
