Open Position: RN - Endoscopy

Endoscopy RN

Job Details:

* Work 5x8 hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
* Every third weekend required
* On-call required approximately every third weekend from 3:00 PM Friday through 6:00 AM Monday morning
* Additional weekday call required after 3:00 PM, split amongst the traveler and two full-time RNs
* Must remain within 30 minutes of the facility during call hours or have the option to stay on-site
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 14 patients with 3 procedure rooms
* Perform and assist with procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, bronchoscopies, PEG tube placements, and tracheostomies
* Administer and monitor conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation
* Manage airway, interpret dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG, and start and maintain IVs
* Handle specimen labeling, reversal agents, and operate electrosurgical units and endoscopic equipment
* Chart using Epic (experience required)
* Wear navy blue scrubs
* Parking is available at no cost
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
* Block scheduling available upon request but not guaranteed
* Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience required
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital with 286 total staffed beds, offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The Endoscopy and GI lab unit is supported by interdisciplinary services including respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and transportation. The facility is equipped with modern endoscopic technology and provides a collaborative environment with experienced staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
