Opportunity:

RN - CVPICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 for critical care (estimated, never guaranteed)
* Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
* Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT skills preferred
* ECMO bedside experience preferred
* Perform post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients
* Perform moderate sedation procedures
* Work with Phillips monitors, Med Fusion, and Baxter pumps
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* Serve the congenital cardiac population in a 10-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU
* Partner with PICU team with charge RN support on both day and night shifts
* Ideal candidate is organized, flexible, a good communicator, and enjoys teaching and resourcefulness

Facility:

This facility is home to a specialized Pediatric Cardiac ICU that serves as the ECMO Center of the hospital, supporting medical neonates and complex cardiac patients. The unit utilizes advanced equipment including the Centrimag, Prismax, and Arctic Sun systems. The RN team averages 10 years of nursing experience and maintains a strong culture of safety and evidence-based practice. The physician team is comprised of board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists dedicated to delivering compassionate critical care in partnership with nursing staff.
