Opportunity:
Radiology Tech - CT/X-Ray
Job Details:
* Primary assignment in X-ray with rotation into CT
* 3x12 shifts with flexibility to accommodate 4x10 shifts if needed
* Shift times typically Monday through Friday unless weekend staff have PTO or are unexpectedly out - advance notice provided if weekend coverage is needed
* No on-call responsibilities
* Holiday rotation with other techs, typically 50-75% of holidays within contract
* Schedule runs in 6-week increments managed by department manager
* 1 to 1.5 weeks of orientation based on comfort level
* Perform CT imaging for ED, outpatient, and inpatient patients including oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, and trauma cases
* Perform X-ray imaging for outpatient, inpatient, ED/ICU/MedSurg, and operating room cases
* Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric cases
* Perform fluoroscopy, C-arm in OR, and portable bedside imaging
* Biopsies and cardiac CTA training provided if experience is not already held
* OR/C-arm and fluoroscopy experience highly preferred but not required - must be comfortable being trained in these areas
* IV start skills and biopsy experience highly preferred
* CTA studies and general study experience required
* Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
* Experience with Siemens and GE CT equipment preferred but not required
* EMR system: Cerner
* PACS system: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
* CT equipment: Siemens X.Cite and GE 16-slice PET CT (used as backup CT machine)
* X-ray equipment includes Siemens, T-Rad with Siemens ART PIX, Cannon Ultimax Hybrid C-arm, Phillips C-arm, OEC C-arm, Siemens Portable, GE AMX 4 portable, and Mini C-arm for ortho scans
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (R) - CT, Maine State License
* Scrub color: Any solid color scrubs or hospital-issued scrubs

Facility:
This facility is an 89-licensed-bed teaching hospital offering comprehensive imaging services including CT, PET CT, and X-ray capabilities. The department is supported by a lead tech, internal transport, and a radiologist available on-site multiple days per week with remote reading services also available. The facility maintains modern imaging technology and fosters a collaborative team environment with structured orientation to set up travelers for success.
