Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 13 or 26 week contracts available
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
* Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
* Care for patients across age groups including adolescents, infants, and adults
* Patient diagnoses include labor and preterm labor; unit includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
* Responsibilities include circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, and low risk labor & delivery
* Special procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
* Required to attend all deliveries including high-risk deliveries
* Additional responsibilities include GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery
* Float required to post-partum and possibly labor & delivery at a sister facility based on skill set
* May be required to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Can request up to 2 major holidays off; required to work 1 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year's/Eve)
