L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
* Float to Postpartum as needed based on facility needs
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP (must be in hand at time of submission), AWHONN
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Provide care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-sections, External Cephalic Versions, and vaginal deliveries
* Manage OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery patients
* Skilled in high-risk labor and delivery including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, preterm labor, and multiple gestations
* Experience with fetal monitoring (internal and external), Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin, and other obstetric medications
* Provide couplet care, newborn assessment, neonatal resuscitation, and breastfeeding/lactation support
* Must be located outside a 50-mile local radius; locals not accepted

Facility:

This facility operates a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit that includes OB Triage, Postpartum, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit provides comprehensive obstetric care for a wide range of patients including high-risk pregnancies, and supports a full spectrum of procedures from vaginal deliveries to C-sections and External Cephalic Versions. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and is committed to delivering specialized, patient-centered maternal and neonatal care.
