Open Position: RN - CVICU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2117.12

Opportunity:

RN - CICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with a requirement of 36 hours per week
* Alternating weekend schedule required
* Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
* Unit operates with RNs only - no HUC or PCT support
* 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
* Required scrub colors: All Navy or Navy and White - no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work
* ICU experience required
* Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics
* Must have experience with vents and trachs
* Must have telemetry interpretation skills
* Must have understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
* Advanced skills desired: IABP, Impella, and CRRT
* Additional requested skills include transvenous pacing, cardioversion, TEE, and familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance
* Procedures performed on unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
* Equipment used includes ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment
* Documentation system: Cerner
* Travelers float to all areas
* No certifications required; CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated
