Opportunity:

BLOCK TRAVEL EXP - MS/Tele RN

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts required
* Every other weekend required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
* Block schedules approved but not required
* No on-call required; may be called if needed due to low census
* Patient ratios of 1:5 with unit ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to other acute care departments within the hospital
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* 40 orientation hours required
* 30-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of 27
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Seasoned traveler required with at least one prior travel contract
* Travel experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Dress code for licensed nursing personnel: solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire; print tops are not acceptable
* Must have experience with Epic charting system
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: Blood product administration, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV insulin protocols, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, PCA, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry and on-unit telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response and code teams, wound care and wound vac

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility consists of 379 staffed beds and is designated as a Level II Trauma Center. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The 30-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit maintains a collaborative care environment focused on adult and geriatric patient populations.
