Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg or General Nursing (based on job description context)

Job Details:

* Direct and coordinate members of the patient care team with a focus on individualized quality patient care
* Develop patient care plans in partnership with physicians, other patient care team members, the patient, and patient's family
* Demonstrate professional nursing practice skills utilizing the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for all assigned patients
* Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
* Promote teamwork with medical staff and personnel throughout the hospital
* Adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act
* Current RN licensure in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement required
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
* Current BCLS certification required
* ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
* Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills required
* Ability to function independently required
