Open Position: RN - Cardiovascular

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2268.52

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend (EOW) required
* 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* No self-scheduling - scheduling is based on unit needs
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Must be open to floating - first to float out depending on competency
* Patient ratios of 1:2 and occasionally 1:1
* Care for high acuity cardiac patients including heart and lung transplants, LVAD patients, ACB, and valve surgery patients
* Required to titrate vasoactive drips for cardiac patients
* Work with devices including LVAD, CRRT/SLED, Impella, and IABP
* Intensivist model with respiratory therapy assigned to unit 24/7
* Hardwire monitoring in place with charge RN and one PCA on the floor
* EPIC charting system required
* CRRT preferred but training available
* 2-3 shifts of orientation with preceptors
* Teal scrubs required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 3+ years of ICU experience strongly preferred
* Previous travel experience preferred
* Experience in a high-volume hospital setting preferred

This large, busy Level 1 Trauma Center features high acuity cardiac and surgical ICU units with a combined total of 25 beds across two specialized units. The facility operates under an intensivist model with 24/7 respiratory therapy coverage and supports complex cardiac patients requiring advanced medical devices and interventions. The organization maintains a strong focus on specialized cardiac and transplant care, providing a comprehensive and dynamic environment for experienced ICU nurses.
