Opportunity:

Surgical Technologist

Job Details:

* Day shift position working three 12-hour shifts: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
* Must have strong experience in orthopedic procedures including total joints
* Must have strong experience in advanced robotic surgeries including DaVinci DV5
* Endovascular experience is a plus
* Facilitate physician performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures
* Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures
* Verify surgery to be performed with consent forms and bring patient to assigned operating room
* Pass instruments to surgeon during procedure and anticipate surgeon's needs for additional supplies
* Perform appropriate counts with circulator prior to operation and before incision is closed
* Prepare and secure sterile dressings after incision closure
* Check, obtain, and set up supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures
* Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure
* Help drape sterile field and maintain sterile field throughout procedure
* Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
* Assist team members with room cleaning for turnover and prepare room for next patient
* Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology required
* Minimum two years of recent experience in field required
* Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required
* National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification preferred
