Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday required; will consider 36 or 48 hours per week
* Rotating schedule between days and nights based on unit needs - schedule cycles may vary between days and nights without frequent back-to-back flipping
* Self-scheduling available however days off are only guaranteed as listed in contract; may be moved during schedule balancing to support unit needs
* Nurse-to-patient ratio: Days 1:4-5 and Nights 1:5-6
* 32-bed unit serving adult trauma, medical, and surgical patients with a wide range of needs including orthopedic trauma
* Unit is certified by The Joint Commission for Hip Fracture Program
* Float to any Medical Surgical unit across 3 locations in Fargo as needed (Broadway, SMCF, and South University)
* Electronic documentation using EPIC; additional equipment includes AcuDose and other inpatient equipment
* Perform assessments, patient education, and a full range of inpatient nursing skills
* Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds) required
* Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required
* Experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma Center required
* EPIC experience required
* Travel nursing experience highly preferred
* Active ND or Compact RN License required
* Active BLS certification (AHA) required
* BSN not required
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Must badge in and out at the facility

Facility:

This acute care facility is a busy Level 1 Trauma Center operating across multiple locations in the Fargo area. The facility features a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit specializing in adult trauma, medical, and surgical care, including orthopedic trauma, and holds Joint Commission certification for its Hip Fracture Program. The organization utilizes EPIC as its primary charting system and maintains high standards for patient care across all of its inpatient units.
