Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg Medical Stroke

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends as scheduled
* Acute care setting on a Medical Stroke unit
* Unit capacity flexes up to 35 beds with an average daily census of 26-28 patients
* Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6 with 3 Patient Care Technicians on unit
* Care for patients with conditions including COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and occasional surgical overflow including thyroidectomy cases
* Experience with stroke patients required; NIHSS experience is a plus
* Post-TPA or lower level stroke care experience preferred
* EPIC charting system experience highly preferred
* Travel experience highly preferred
* BSN not required
* Required certification: BLS (AHA)
* Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Must submit an unexpired copy of candidate's driver's license with all submittals

The unit utilizes EPIC as its electronic charting system and supports a collaborative care model with Patient Care Technicians working alongside nursing staff.
