Opportunity:

Surgical Technologist

Job Details:

* Variable shift schedule working 3, 12-hour shifts per week
* Night shift hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Weekends and holidays required
* Facilitate physician performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures
* Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures
* Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout operative procedures
* Verify surgery to be performed against consent forms and bring patients to assigned operating room
* Pass instruments to surgeon during procedures and anticipate surgeon's needs for additional supplies
* Perform appropriate counts with circulator prior to operation and before incision closure
* Prepare and secure sterile dressings following incision closure
* Check, obtain, and set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for each procedure
* Assist with draping the sterile field and cleaning/preparing instruments for terminal sterilization
* Assist team with room turnover and preparation for next patient
* Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology required
* Minimum two years of recent experience in field required
* National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification preferred
* Current BLS certification required
