Open Position: Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

* Work 4 x 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
* No on-call responsibilities
* Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license and CPFT certification
* Must be competent performing pulmonary function tests including Spirometry, DLCO, Plethysmography, MIPS/MEPS, and Methacholine challenge
* Experience using Vyntus body box and Sentry Suite software required
* Assess and document the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy for patients
* Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining patient charts
* Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
* Provide care to ventilator patients
* Perform drainage procedures and provide additional patient care related to cardiorespiratory disease
* Provide respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
* Complete paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, ACLS, PALS
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential preferred
* Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
* Minimum two years of recent experience in the field required
