Opportunity:
RN - Medical-Surgical
Job Details:
* Provide direct patient care and coordinate treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies
* Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as per physician orders
* Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress, reporting changes promptly
* Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
* Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health management
* Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EMR)
* Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
* Assist with post-operative recovery, chronic illness management, and acute care interventions
* Respond to emergencies and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
* Delegate and oversee tasks assigned to nursing assistants, ESTs, and Unit Clerks
* Orient and mentor new staff members
* Able to work weekends, holidays, and shift rotations as needed
* Up to 36 hours of call off per 13-week assignment
* No local candidates - 120-mile radius rule applies
* Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
* Prior Medical-Surgical experience preferred
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Idaho or approved compact state licensure required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon date of hire
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of date of hire
