Acute Care Sonographer II

Job Details:

* Perform ultrasound exams and procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings
* Work primarily independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting
* Assist physicians and other medical staff during exams and procedures
* Complete documentation of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
* Retrieve and review previous studies, reports, written orders, and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting
* Participate in implementation, monitoring, and improvement of quality indicators
* Schedule may require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts
* On-call work may be required
* Facility reserves the right to cancel up to three (3) shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
* Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
* Required certifications: ARDMS in a minimum of one category (OB/Gyn or Abdomen/Small Parts), ARDMS certification in a minimum of one advanced category (Fetal Echocardiography, Breast, Pediatrics, Registered Vascular Technology, or Musculoskeletal), and BLS (AHA)
* Minimum 2 years of post-graduation experience in advanced ultrasound practice required
* 5 years of post-graduation experience in advanced ultrasound practice preferred
