Opportunity:
RN - STICU
Job Details:
* Work in a 20-bed Surgical Trauma ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio
* Scrub colors required: all navy or all white, or navy bottoms with white top
* 6-week scheduling cycle with 6 required weekend shifts
* Travelers float before core staff and may float to other ICUs (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down
* Work with equipment including EVDs, Camino/bolts, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, GE Carescape bedside monitors, GE ventilators, iCool machines, Blanketrol blankets, Bair Hugger, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and Alaris PCA pumps
* Document using Cerner PowerChart
* Perform procedures including intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, Foley placement, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration, trach placement, EVD/bolt placement, CRRT/HD, irrigation and debridement, and minor surgery
* Trauma ICU experience from a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
* Surgical ICU experience required
* Acute Care ICU skills required (no LTAC experience considered)
* Must be a team player with a positive attitude and flexibility
* Must be kind and compassionate in patient interactions
* Required certifications: Valid Nursing License, Active ACLS and BLS Certifications
