Opportunity:
OB/GYN Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
Job Details:
* 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with 1 alternating day off each week
* No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements
* Facility may call off traveler up to 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks)
* Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential is required; MA-R and MA-P candidates will not be considered
* At least 6 months of experience working as an MA in an adult outpatient clinic required; OB/GYN experience highly preferred
* Required certification: BLS
* EPIC charting experience required
* Scrub color: Any
* Perform OB/GYN procedures including LEEP, colposcopy, and IUD insertions
* Conduct hearing screenings, vision testing, and obtain vital signs
* Record patient history, medications, and allergies
* Administer nebulizer treatments, immunizations, and TB tests
* Perform venipuncture, blood glucose testing via glucometer, and urine/UA collection
* Label specimens and conduct throat cultures
* Handle telephone triage, follow-up phone calls, and pharmacy refill requests
* Perform suture removal and patient rooming
* Serve patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* May be required to float within skillset to meet facility needs
* Reliable personal transportation required

This OB/GYN clinic provides specialized outpatient care for a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The facility offers a full range of gynecological and obstetric services, including advanced procedures such as colposcopy, LEEP, and IUD insertions. The clinic utilizes EPIC for charting and is supported by interdisciplinary services including interpretation services and phlebotomy, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered care environment.
