Opportunity:

RN - Operating Room

Job Details:

* 12-hour varied shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM including holidays and weekends
* Call coverage required with one call shift per week from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM, scheduled immediately following shift
* 13-week assignment
* Minimum of two years of operating room experience required
* Strong comfortability with Orthopedics (Arthrex, DePuy, Synthes), general, and ENT procedures required
* State of California Registered Nurse License required
* American Heart Association BLS certification required
* American Heart Association ACLS certification required
* Cerner experience preferred
* CNOR experience preferred
* Initiate and direct plans of care based on medical, surgical, and nursing diagnoses
* Carefully assess and monitor the physical status of patients
* Demonstrate competency to create and maintain a sterile field
* Anticipate the need for equipment and supplies before cases begin
* Supervise care given to assigned patients in a single O.R. unit
* Ensure patient safety, provision of supplies and equipment, and maintenance of asepsis
* Coordinate with other departments and ancillary personnel to provide a safe environment and high standard of quality care
* Housing available depending on availability within walking distance to the hospital
