RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* Work on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit
* Patient ratio of 1:6
* Day shift staffing includes 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 unit secretary
* Night shift staffing includes 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 techs
* Utilize Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* Provide care for post-operative patients
* Perform dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
* Maintain drains and manage post-operative patient needs
* Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong patient advocacy skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required
* Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue or White
* No hoodies, pull-overs, or T-shirts permitted
* Required certification: BLS
* Familiarity with post-operative patients preferred
* Competency with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred

This facility is a full-service medical center housing a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit staffed with over 55 employees. The unit is recognized for top patient experience scores as measured through HCAHPS, reflecting a strong commitment to quality patient care. The facility operates out of a main hospital building and provides a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on post-operative and medical surgical patient care.
