Open Position: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

* Work 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM plus call requirements
* Approximately 10-11 call days per month including 1 weekend
* Float between two campuses: Bryan Campus (home base) and College Station Campus
* Circulate and monitor cases in the cath lab environment
* Work with a team of 3 per case including Circulating RN, Scrub Tech, and monitor staff
* Perform cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patient care
* Handle EP cases including ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations (A-Flutter, SVT, A-Fib)
* Operate GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System
* Cross-trained to monitor cases as all staff are expected to do so
* Facility runs primarily 3 of 4 cath lab rooms at one time with 5-15 cases per day
* Three days of orientation to the unit with expectation of independently performing cases by Thursday or Friday
* Must be able to circulate cases independently
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Hospital cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 3 designation and features a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab with 4 cath lab rooms, primarily running 3 simultaneously. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and EP services and utilizes advanced hemodynamic monitoring technology. The organization maintains a collaborative team environment with experienced staff supporting travel nurses through a structured orientation process.
