Opportunity:
RN - ICU Float Pool
Job Details:
* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 36 or 48-hour weekly options available
* Float pool position requiring travel between ICU, MS/Tele/PCU, Overflow PACU, and Stepdown units
* Weekend shifts required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per every 6-week period
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated and no RTO within the first 2 weeks of assignment
* Maximum RTO of 2 weeks total per assignment
* Self-scheduling environment
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted with experience from a 400-bed or larger facility
* PA Line experience is required and will be assessed during phone interview
* Large hospital experience required
* Travel experience required
* Active California RN license required at time of submission - no pending or temporary licenses accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; CCRN preferred
* EKG exam administered on the first day of orientation and must be passed to proceed with contract
* Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
* Epic charting system experience required
* Swan Ganz/Pulmonary Artery Line monitoring experience is a hard stop requirement
* Required skills include: arterial line management, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, blood product administration, management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of ABGs, suctioning (ETT, NT), phlebotomy, and isolation precautions/PPE
* CRRT, EVD, and transplant experience preferred
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics across a 24-bed ICU
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
* 2 professional references from within the past year required at time of submission; must be supervisor or higher
