Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of NICU experience required
* Charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required; must meet department needs per union contract
* Self-scheduling type
* May be required to float to postpartum unit
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Care for neonatal patients in a Level II NICU setting, 32 weeks gestation and above
* Stabilize infants for transfer to higher level of care when needed
* Required skills include: attending high risk deliveries, breastfeeding support and handling of breast milk, care of neonates greater than 34 weeks, care of neonates 29-34 weeks, NICU Level II care, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and eat, sleep, console
* Special procedures include managing CPAP and UAC/UVC lines
* Special equipment includes High Flow and CPAP
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility

This facility operates a Level II NICU with 5 beds and a daily census of 4 patients, providing specialized neonatal care for infants 32 weeks gestation and above. The unit offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for both patients and clinical staff.
