Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Night shifts preferred; straight days not accepted
* Weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 1 year of nursing experience required
* Cerner charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* BLS certification required (AHA only)
* Active PA or Compact license required
* Must be willing to float within the hospital
* Must be willing to float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
* Must be available to work every other holiday
* Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
* Treat patients with medical non-monitored diagnoses including post-op joint replacement, post-op weight loss management surgery, and post-op general surgery
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, heparin administration, insulin administration, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and additional clinical competencies
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Unit includes 27 rooms and 34 beds
