Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

Opportunity:

MS/Tele

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Patient ratios of 1:4 during days and 1:5 during nights
* Every other weekend required
* Float between 2 MS/Tele units and all MS/Tele units as needed, including Cardiac/Observation, Stroke, Ortho/Trauma and Total Joint, Orthopedic Spine, and Palliative/Peritoneal Dialysis/Thyroid Ablation units
* All RNs required to float to the Cardiac Monitoring Room
* Must be open to floating where most needed without restrictions
* Patients include adult and geriatric age groups
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Cerner charting system experience preferred
* ICU/PCU experience preferred; strong MS/Tele experience considered
* Must be well-rounded and comfortable working in a flex pool
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Standard med surg/tele equipment used including bladder scanner, IV ultrasound placement equipment, EKG machine, and remote telemetry monitoring
* Liko mechanical lifts available in almost all patient rooms
* No on-call required
* Self-scheduling
* Blocked scheduling considered depending on unit needs with unit manager approval
* Local candidates accepted

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a teaching hospital with Level IV trauma designation and 87 total staffed beds. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Free parking is available for staff.
