Opportunity:

RRT - NICU

Job Details:

* Float position requiring flexibility between internal departments
* No on-call required
* Every other weekend required per CBA
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratios based on hospital acuity
* Shift assignment (days or nights) is typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance for the duration of the 13-week contract
* All staff, including agency staff, are considered VAR (variable) for the unit
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Level 3 NICU and Level 2 Adult ICU experience required
* NICU III or IV level experience is a hard stop requirement
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required
* Washington state license must be in hand at submission
* Epic charting system experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT, PALS or ENPC, CRT or RRT
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, Aspiration, Bag and mask, BiPAP, Bronchoscopy, Bubble CPAP, CPAP, Cystic fibrosis, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Drawing arterial blood gases, ET Tube, Extubation, Fresh tracheostomy, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High frequency jet ventilator, High frequency oscillator, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, NICU, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Oscillating Ventilator, Oxygen tanks, Pneumonia, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Pulmonary Hygiene, Spirometry, Sputum specimen collection, Suctioning (ETT, NT), T-piece, Trach collar, Tracheostomy care/management, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Umbilical blood gases, and Weaning from mechanical ventilation
* Bunnell Jet Ventilation experience in NICU highly preferred
* Patients include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility

Facility:

This large healthcare facility operates a 337-bed hospital with a daily census of approximately 300 patients. The facility supports a comprehensive range of patient care services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretary, and more. The organization provides care across a wide range of patient age groups and acuity levels, with specialized units including a Level 3 NICU and Level 2 Adult ICU.
