Opportunity:

Med/Surg RN

Job Details:

* 4x12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3x12 schedule will also be considered)
* Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
* Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Telemetry experience preferred, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, CVA, diabetes, sepsis, pneumonia, dysrhythmias, post-surgical care, wound care, and renal failure
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Parking is provided at no cost
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
* Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of presentation
* Must complete all assigned modules prior to start date
* Attendance at staff meetings is required

This short-term acute care hospital operates with 97 total staffed beds and 41 beds within the Med/Surg unit. The facility supports a comprehensive range of medical and surgical patient needs and provides robust interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services.
