Job Details:

* Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday
* Will work every 5th weekend
* On-call required: short call (4 hours at the end of a shift) once per week
* Primarily use Affera PFA systems and Biosense Webster RFA systems
* Perform and assist with invasive diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures including ablations, pacemaker insertions, ICD insertions, laser lead extractions, and Watchman devices
* Scrub EP studies and maintain sterile field
* Perform hemodynamic monitoring and EKG lead placement
* Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
* Operate required special equipment including intracardiac electrogram recording and pacing systems, therapeutic ablation systems, electrosurgical units, emergency equipment (TPMs, AEDs), and GE CardioLab
* Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 20 patients across 4 rooms
* Chart using Excellian/Epic (preferred experience required)
* Scrubs are provided by the unit
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, Fluoro Permit, CET
* Required skills: accurate monitoring, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, insertion/programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulator, and maintaining sterile field
* Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Good communication skills and understanding of cardiac anatomy and normal conduction system required

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III Trauma certification. The facility operates with 672 staffed beds and supports a high-acuity patient population. The electrophysiology unit consists of 4 rooms with a daily census of approximately 20 patients and offers comprehensive cardiac care including advanced EP procedures and device implants.
