Job Details:
* Work 5x8 hour shifts with start times of 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:45 PM
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend coverage required as needed
* Floating within scope required as needed to meet facility needs
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
* Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required work setting experience: CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR
* Required case types: CVOR, spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics
* Preferred case type: XI robotics
* Facility operates 20 OR rooms with 40-50 cases per day
* Required cardiovascular case skills: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
* Required vascular case skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous Fistula repair, Carotid Angioplasty, Carotid Artery Stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), and Vein Stripping
* Required thoracic case skills: Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, Lung Resection (Thoracotomy), and VATS
* Required professional knowledge and skills: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
Facility:
This acute care teaching hospital operates 317 staffed beds and holds a Level 3 trauma designation. The facility features 20 operating rooms supporting 40-50 surgical cases per day across a wide range of specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, spine, and robotic surgery. The organization utilizes Epic (Excellian) as its charting system and maintains a robust surgical services department equipped to handle complex and high-acuity cases.
