L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP - must be in hand at time of submission
* FHM certification required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* 50-mile local radius restriction; local candidates not accepted
* May be required to float to Postpartum unit as needed
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Provide care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-sections, External Cephalic Versions, and OB Triage
* Work within a High Risk Labor & Delivery unit including Postpartum and Level 2 Special Care Nursery
* Skills include magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, fetal heart monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and couplet care among others

Facility:

This facility operates a High Risk Labor & Delivery unit offering comprehensive obstetric services including OB Triage, Postpartum care, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit supports a wide range of procedures including C-sections and External Cephalic Versions, and provides care for complex maternal and neonatal conditions. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and maintains interdisciplinary support across its women's and newborn services.
