Opportunity:

Job Details:

* 24 hours per week with 3 guaranteed shifts per 13-week contract
* Approximately 5 patient visits per day
* Average daily census of 44 patients across a 57-bed facility
* Provide nutrition services to geriatric patient population in a skilled nursing (SNF) setting
* Experience in long-term and skilled care required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* No weekend requirements and no on-call responsibilities
* May be required to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed
* Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
* Scrub color: Eggplant
* Required certifications: BLS, RD/RDN
* Key skills include: nutrition assessments and reassessments, enteral nutrition (tube feedings), dysphagia management, therapeutic diet orders, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), calorie counts, fluid and electrolyte requirements, food-drug interactions, chronic wound nutrition support, Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE), and Alzheimer's disease care
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed

With 57 beds and an average daily census of 44 residents, the facility maintains an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and supports a wide range of complex nutritional needs.
