Open Position: Dietitian - Registered Dietician

Opportunity:

Clinical Dietitian

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
* Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network
* EPIC experience required
* Must be able to function as an acute inpatient clinical dietitian independently
* Must have extensive experience working with Parenteral Nutrition
* Experience in all clinical areas required with ability to pass competencies within the first few days
* Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments for patients with special needs or at nutritional risk
* Develop and implement nutritional plans of care including appropriate meal patterns and nutritional interventions
* Provide nutritional education to patients, family members, and healthcare team personnel
* Monitor and document medical nutrition therapy administration and patient response
* Communicate interdisciplinary care plans and document all interventions in accordance with policy and practice standards
* Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required
* Master's Degree required if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
* Dietetic internship or equivalent required
* Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within 6 months of completion of residency program
* Minimum two years of recent experience in the field required
* Current BLS certification required
