Opportunity:
Medical-Surgical ICU
Job Details:
* 3x12 day shifts
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
* Float required based on schedule
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 14 patients with 16 beds across 12 rooms
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred; charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS*, PALS*
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), surgical intensive care, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Special equipment: CRRT (NXXT Stage)
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* One pre-approved time off request allowed
* State or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
