Opportunity:

RN - Neuro Stepdown & EMU

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required
* Holiday rotation participation expected
* Possible floating to units 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10W
* 2 shifts of on-unit orientation provided
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:5-6 for EMU floor
* Nurse aides available on unit at a ratio of 1:8-9, with 4 aides per shift
* Charge nurse support available 24/7
* Care for higher acuity neuroscience patients including strokes, seizures, craniotomies, and epilepsy monitoring
* EPIC charting system experience required
* Strong neuro experience required including history of caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH protocols
* NIHSS certification required at time of submission
* BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
* Experience with EVDs preferred
* Titration performed by physician orders only; relevant protocols will be provided during orientation
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7 to manage floor vents; RNs are not required to have vent experience
* Telemetry present on unit; RNs are not required to read strips
* Royal blue scrubs required
* BSN not required
